Paul took a great gulp of his tea, as though hoping it would give him superhuman strength. Gently he placed the cup back on its saucer and gazed down at it; when he raised his head his face wore an expression of frank desperation. "I don't know if I can do this."

"Pretend I'm not here," said Knife.

"I don't talk to myself."

"Then pretend I don't matter."

He murmured, "That's not as easy as it used to be."

I love the way his hair falls, Little more on the left than the right though. His eyes are so deep too. I'd really like to read that novel someday.. Is it ever gonna be published, do you know?
